OUR STORY

On the 10th June 2019, Auhammad Arshad-Ali founded the Award Centre Adventurous Dragons with the aim of delivering The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award to all youngsters aged 14 to 24 in Mauritius.

In 2021, the Founder, with the support of Neeroo Ayush Koomar and Fleche Louis Desire Josue, decided to register the organisation as an Association to give it a legal identity and to ensure its continuity with a formal structure.

In 2024, when the Association was celebrating its five years of existence, the Founder expressed his wish of rebranding to a new identity that describes the purpose of the Association. Hence, Discovering Youth Association came to light.

We have achieved significant milestones over the years, and our journey continues with the same passion and dedication. At DYA, we have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.

Our new identity Discovering Youth Association! This rebranding aligns perfectly with our mission to help young people explore and develop their fullest and infinite potential. Together, we will continue to empower and inspire the youth to achieve their dreams and make a positive impact on the world.

OUR LOGO

The brand new logo of the "Discovering Youth Association" comprises the following elements:

1. Infinity Symbol: At the center of the logo, there is an infinity symbol, representing continuous growth, infinite potential, and ongoing discovery.

2. Letters 'D' and 'A': Inside the loops of the infinity symbol, the letters 'D' (in red) and 'A' (in purple) are positioned. These stand for the name of the organization: Discovering Youth Association.

3. Airplane: Above the infinity symbol, a blue airplane is embedded in the 'Y' (in green), which stands for youth, symbolizing the independence, freedom, exploration, and adventure of young people.

4. Circular Border: The entire logo is encased within a circular border that features a gradient of colors ranging from yellow, green, blue, red, to purple, reflecting the colors of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.

Overall, the logo conveys themes of exploration, infinite possibilities, and the vibrant, diverse nature of the youth association. The inclusion of the airplane in the circular border shows that youngsters can travel beyond horizons across the globe.
